BARE ROOT SEASON RUNS FROM EARLY JANURARY THRU LATE MARCH AT THE TREE MAN.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL ITEMS ARE CASH AND CARRY -- WE CANNOT SHIP.

In January we stock hundreds of bare root trees, shrubs and vines which gives you an opportunity to get the items you want at considerable savings.

Bare-root stock is a lot less expensive than planted versions of the same variety and you also can save money by using your native soil as the growing medium in many cases.

Bare root season runs from January through the end of March. During that time we have bare root up to our elbows!

To help you pick the right trees, bushes, roses, shrubs and vines to plant visit our availability pages. Although we do update the quantity in stock and current price regularly, our web site may not always be able to show exact price and stock.

How to plant bare-root stock

1
Dig a hole with a cone shaped bottom to allow the roots to lay out and down from the center.

2
Fill in with soil almost to the top of the hole. Tamp down the soil gently.

3
Water the hole. Pull up plant carefully if it settles.

4
Fill in the rest of the hole with soil.
